The automatic meteorological station in Chepelare measures air temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity and precipitation. Data are sent periodicaly (30 min) to NIMH-Plovdiv trough radio and internet communication channels. In 2005 Chepelare municipality will equip ski track Mechi Chal with another station of the same type. Data from both stations will be used by the municipality for tourist and winter sports activities in real time.
